Here, colour presses slightly closer to the surface, held in tension against the depth beneath it. The red forms appear unsettled, hovering between suggestion and abstraction, without resolving into fixed imagery. Layers of material are partially obscured by a dark, transparent ground, creating a sense of emergence rather than depiction. The work maintains a delicate balance between presence and withdrawal, revealing itself slowly over time.
